Dr. Anthony F. Novak is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology with over 30 years of experience.
He graduated from Hamline University with a bachelor’s degree in 1980 with honors. He attended Medical School at the University of Minnesota and graduated Alpha Omega Alpha in the top of his class.
After completing a year of training at Regions Hospital in Family Practice, he completed his specialty training at the University of Minnesota Department of Ophthalmology. He served on Mercy Ships performing surgery for the third world nation of Guinea West Africa.
In 1989, Dr. Novak joined Red Wing Clinic in Minnesota. After 17 years of outstanding service, he chose to start his own practice, River Falls Eye Surgery and Laser Center, in 2006
He belongs to professional societies including the Minnesota Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Originally from Eveleth Minnesota, Dr. Novak currently resides in the River Falls Wisconsin area with his family.
Dr. Matthew D. Georgeson, OD has been a practicing optometrist for over 20 years.
He was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. He earned the Eagle Scout award with the Boy Scouts of America, and served a two-year church mission in Johannesburg, South Africa. Dr. Georgeson graduated from Brigham Young University in Utah with a bachelor’s degree in human biology in 2000. He attended optometry school at Pacific University in Oregon, graduating in 2004. As a student, he was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society.
Dr. Georgeson completed clinical rotations in ocular disease at the VA Medical Center in Spokane, Washington, and in primary eyecare and surgical co-management at clinics in central and western Oregon.
Prior to joining River Falls Eye Surgery and Laser Center, Dr. Georgeson practiced optometry in eastern Oregon. He and his family are happy to be part of the Wisconsin/Minnesota community.
